Why have Doula support during Pregnancy, Labor & Birth?

  • Have physical and emotional support during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum tailored to meet your specific needs.

  • A birth professional knows your preferences and can help better facilitate communication between you and your birth team.

  • Have guidance preparing for the calm, relaxed, empowering childbirth that you envision for yourself.

  • Reduce the possibility of requiring medical intervention during labor.

  • Assist in preparing for your birth experience following a less than ideal birth experience in your past.

  • Comfort and support during your fourth trimester in addition to your family and friends.

If you found yourself mentally checking off each point, you can schedule a consultation or discovery call to learn more about how Rebecca can best support you. During your consultation, she can customize her doula service to meet your specific pregnancy, birth, and postpartum needs. No two pregnancies are the same and Rebecca wants to ensure you receive tailored support to meet all of your needs. Please visit the Birth Doula page or contact Rebecca for more Doula Support information.

A birth doula is defined as a professional support person trained in the needs of the mother and family during pregnancy and childbirth. The doula offers non-judgmental support, guidance, evidence based education and practical hands-on support during childbirth including comfort measures. Doula originates from the Greek word meaning woman servant. A birth doula recognizes the profound impact of childbirth on the mother.
